GO10 Project to close portion of I-10, Mesa for 27 hours

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - For the third weekend in a row, a major I-10 closure is scheduled to accommodate GO10 Project construction.

During the 27-hour closure, crews will be pouring bridge deck onto the new I-10 Eastbound Overpass.

According to TxDOT, the following areas will be closed from Sunday at 3 a.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.:

  • I-10 Eastbound will close completely between the North Mesa Exit (Exit 11) and the North Mesa Entrance Ramp.
  • North Mesa Street (SH 20) will close in both directions under the I-10 Overpass.
  • The North Mesa Entrance Ramp to I-10 Eastbound will close.

In order to avoid the closed areas, drivers can exit at North Mesa, go to Doniphan, take Doniphan to Sunland Park, and re-enter I-10 East at the Sunland Park Entrance Ramp.
