Bandidos arrested on weapons charges Thursday night

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - El Paso Police arrested five Ruidoso men, four of whom were riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, on Thursday night for possession of seven different guns during a traffic stop. Police say all five are confirmed Bandidos Motorcycle Club members.

According to EPPD, their gang unit began following four Harley-Davidson motorcycles and a Dodge truck who were traveling together. The group allegedly failed to signal in the 4500 block of Montana near US-54 and again at Gateway North and Pershing around 10:20 p.m. Thursday.

Zachary Carrizal, 35, Terry Claunch, 55, Charles Newbold, 35, and Scot Stevens, 37 were all pulled over on their Harleys. Kaden Hall, 24, was driving a Dodge truck following the group and was also pulled over. All five men are reportedly from Ruidoso.

Police found seven guns between the five of them and charged them with unlawful carrying of a firearm.

  • Charles Newbold - Taurus 40 - Bond $7,500
  • Scott Stevens - Rugar 45 - Bond $7,500
  • Kaden Hall - Bersa .380 & Springfield 9mm - Bond $15,000

All men were booked into the El Paso County Detention Center.

Police expect a higher than usual number of motorcycle club members, including Bandidos to be in El Paso this weekend for the funeral of Juan Martinez, who was killed by a rival motorcycle club member at Mulligan's Chopped Hog in East El Paso August 2.
