El Pasoan wins $1 million Powerball prize

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - One El Paso man just got $1 million richer.

Jaime Jimenez Moreno claimed the second-tier Powerball prize for last Wednesday's drawing, the Texas Lottery announced Tuesday.

Moreno's ticket, which was purchased at the Howdy's located at 1540 N. Resler, matched all five of the white ball numbers. 

According to a news release, Powerball jackpots start at $40 million and roll until the jackpot is won. Drawings take place on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
