Emergence Health Network provides help for emotional distress

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - In light of last week's reported suicide of an El Paso teenager, some families are seeking local resources for others in need of assistance.

Emergence Health Network, a local organization with on-site mental health professionals, helps  people who may be considering suicide.

Through counseling and support, the organization's crisis specialists will immediately help anyone experiencing emotional distress or severe mental health crises.

"We have psychiatric services to provide medication, we have nurses here, we have a lot to provide to people," Clinical Program Manager Celeste Nevarez said. "We just need them to get on the phone and ask for help."

Emergence Health Network, located at the corner of Yandell and Montana, can be reached 24/7 at its crisis hotline 1-877-562-6467.
