EPPD: Man suspected of using stolen credit card found with Xanax

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - An investigation into the use of a stolen debit card at four different locations in late June led to the arrest of a 29-year-old East El Paso man on multiple charges, including drug possession.

Steve Jimenez, 29, was arrested at his home in the 10500 block of Ashwood Wednesday afternoon by EPPD Pebble Hills Tactical Officers. The investigation stemmed from a June 29, 2017 Credit Card Abuse Case.

Investigators learned that Jimenez had allegedly used a stolen debit card at four different locations and issued a warrant for his arrest.

During the execution of the warrant, officers allegedly found marijuana and .6 grams of Xanax. He was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Center for three counts of Credit Card Abuse, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

His bond was set at $16,591.
