EPPD: One car, two DWI drivers arrested

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Not one, but two people are behind bars after they were both allegedly driving the same car while intoxicated early Sunday morning.

Police spotted a 2015 Nissan Sentra that was allegedly speeding east on Paisano near the Chamizal. The EPPD officer turned their unit around to follow the Sentra and then spotted the car stopped in the middle of the road and allegedly saw the backseat passenger run around to the driver's side seat before starting to drive east again.

DWI Task Force officers learned that initially, 22-year-old Laura Ordonez was driving the Sentra when she allegedly switched seats with Isaac Juarez, 27. Police say that Juarez had a prior DWI and was also intoxicated at the time of the arrest. He was charged with DWI 2nd Offense with a bond of $750.

Ordonez was also allegedly drunk and in possession of an open alcohol container. She was charged with DWI open container and had her bond set at $600.
