Horizon City man killed in Texas Panhandle crash

TAHOKA, Texas (KTSM) - Texas Department of Public Safety officials say a Horizon City man was killed early Tuesday morning in a head-on crash in the Texas Panhandle.

Ivan Adam Davila, 35, of Horizon City, was driving a Ford Explorer northbound in the southbound lanes of US 87 near Tahoka, Texas around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Investigators say Davila collided with a Ford pickup driven by Terry Gwin, 42 of Tohoka who was driving southbound.

KTSM affiliate KLBK reported that both vehicles ended up in the center median.

Both drivers were killed in the crash. DPS has not indicated why they believe Davila may have been driving in the wrong lane of traffic.
