Woman Pulled from Central El Paso Fire

El Paso, Texas - UPDATE 9:00PM:

A spokesperson with EPFD says EPPD and Texas Gas were called out to assist with the fire.

Crimes Against Persons (CAP) was requested at the house on Idalia and Dyer Thursday night for further investigation. 

Details remain limited, but EPPD says the woman who was taken to UMC with serious life-threatening injuries remains at the hospital. Officials have not released the name or age of the woman. 

According to EPFD, nine units and 25 fire fighters assisted in putting out the fire, which happened at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. A spokesman with EPFD says the first crew arrived three minutes later. 

EPFD says the damage to the home is estimated at $175,000. 


El Paso Fire Department is on the scene of a serious fire on Dyer and Idalia Street in Central El Paso.

The call came in around 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon at a two-store home near the intersection of Dyer and Idalia. A NewsChannel9 Crew arrived shortly after the fire started and witnessed a woman being pulled from the house and sent to a local hospital.

El Paso Fire Medical Rescue reports that she was taken from the scene with injuries that are considered life-threatening.
