One Person Displaced in East El Paso Fire

El Paso, Texas - UPDATE:

According to fire officials the fire didn't spread to any other structures in the area and it was contained to one unit inside the quadplex. No residents were hurt as they were not inside the building at the time, however one fire fighter did receive non-life threatening injuries.

The occupants were evacuated and will not be allowed back into their homes until an inspection is completed the building is declared safe. One of the occupants will receive help from the American Red Cross, all the other residents have somewhere to go in the meantime.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and damages are estimated at $85,000 dollars.



El Paso Fire Department is working to contain a fire in the 10600 block of Cuatro Vistas Dr. in East El Paso off of Yarbrough near Trawood.

The fire started around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and was quickly upgraded to a Condition 3 fire, with multiple rescue units and fire units responding.
