EPPD: Crash on Bridge of Americas caused by DWI driver with prior convictions

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - A man with four prior DWI convictions was arrested by El Paso Police Wednesday night after he allegedly was driving drunk and caused a crash on the Bridge of the Americas.

The two-vehicle crash happened before  8 p.m. Wednesday in the 3600 block of Paisano at the Bridge of the Americas.

Police allege that Samuel Nava, 43, was driving a Chevy Tahoe when he was involved in a crash on the U.S. side of the bridge. 

Nava was determined to be intoxicated by El Paso Police and taken into custody. He was charged with DWI 3rd or More and booked into the El Paso County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond.
