EPPD investigating East El Paso bank robbery

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - El Paso Police are investigating the robbery of an East El Paso Bank that has been robbed three other times in the last year.

Police say an armed suspect entered the BBVA Compass in the 1600 block of N. Zaragoza around 2:30 p.m. Thursday and left the area on foot.

This robbery marks the fourth robbery at the same location in a little over a year.  In May, 34-year-old Ever Johnson was charged with five bank robberies including three at the BBVA Compass on Zaragoza.

The dates of the prior robberies at that location were Dec. 6, 2016, Jan. 20 and April 11. Johnson is still behind bars awaiting trial.

El Paso Police have not given a description of the suspect in Thursday's robbery. KTSM will update this story as additional information becomes available.
