EPPD: Six Minutes, Three DWI Arrests

El Paso, TX (KTSM) - El Paso Police say that they arrested three people in just six minutes time Wednesday night on alleged drunk driving offenses.

The three separate incidents happened between 9:46 p.m. to 9:52 p.m. Wednesday night. The first incident happened when officers responded to reports of a man down at the wheel in the 2000 block of N. Piedras at 9:46 p.m. The driver was determined to by intoxicated and was charged with DWI 2nd offense.

The second arrest happened at 9:47 p.m. when DWI Officers responded to a crash in the 6900 block of Delta and also determined the driver was intxicated. That driver was charged with DWI 3rd or More.

The last incident happened at 9:52 p.m. when officers responded to another crash in the 100 block of Resler and also determined that the woman who was driving was intoxicated. She was charged with DWI with a Blood Alcohol Content above .15.

All law enforcement officers throughout El Paso, including the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, EPPD and the Texas Department of Public Safety have advised of increased DWI patrols through the holiday week leading to New Year's Day.
