Free flu vaccines offered to uninsured community members

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - The flu season is upon us and the El Paso Fire Department is encouraging the community to get their flu shots by taking advantage of their 'Vaccinations for Health Program,' which is a part of the Medicaid Waiver program. 

The program offers free flu shots, blood pressure and glucose screenings to patients 18 and older, and pneumonia vaccines to people over 65. 

There are 4 clinic dates in November at the EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center located at 5415 Trowbridge:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 1: 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 8: 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 15: 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 29: 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The service is free to residents of El Paso and Hudspeth County who are over 18 and do not have medical insurance or are on Medicaid.
