Man killed in East El Paso motorcycle crash

EL PASO, Texas - UPDATE:

El Paso Police confirm the man involved in the single vehicle motorcycle crash in East El Paso Thursday night died at the hospital.

Police have not said what led up to the crash or the identity of the man involved in the crash.

This is the 44th traffic related death of 2017 compared to 53 at this time last year. 

EARLIER:

A person was taken to the hospital Thursday night after a serious motorcycle crash in east El Paso. A spokesperson with the El Paso Police Department said the call came in around 6:40 p.m.

That’s when officers responded to the 2000 block of Saul Kleinfeld Dr. near Montwood Dr. According to police, Special Traffic Investigators were on the scene.

Chelsea Moreno lives in the area and told KTSM, “I had just gotten home and went to see what was happening.”

According to Moreno, the person driving the motorcycle received CPR. Moreno said, “I saw a man on the floor getting CPR and then they put him into the ambulance.”

She also said, “I was listening to what happened with the cops and witnesses and a guy said that someone had gotten shot. That was all I heard.”
