Outlaw Country: Argument Leads to Television Shooting

Horizon City, TX (KTSM) - Outlaw Country got a little more serious early Friday morning after Horizon Police responded to reports of a man who had shot his television after getting into an argument over a country music video.

Lamar Barry Andrews, 43, was arrested in the 14000 block of Desert Point Drive around 4:40 a.m. after a woman called police saying that a man was firing a gun inside the home. When they arrived, they found out that Andrews and the woman had allegedly gotten into a fight over a country music video and he pulled out a Colt .45 gun and shot her television.

"Fortunately there were no injuries as a result of this incident. Officers were able to locate the bullet which had lodged outside the residents in a metal fence." Horizon Police Chief McConnell said.

Horizon PD seized the gun and transported Andrews to the El Paso County Detention Center where he has been charged with one count of Deadly Conduct. His bond was set at $2,500.

No word on what song led to the heated argument.
