Suspect in Central El Paso Shooting Located in North Carolina

El Paso, Texas - El Paso Police say that they have arrested the man suspected of shooting his neighbor after an argument in Central El Paso on Saturday, November 19.

Lynnard Deshawn Bethea, 25, was taken into custody in Raleigh, North Carolina by investigators with the U.S. Marshal's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force working with the Eastern North Carolina Fugitive Task Force after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Bethea was wanted after he allegedly shot a 32-year-old neighbor multiple times in an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Pershing. According to police, the victim's car  was being hit by objects thrown from the window of his upstairs neighbors who were arguing.

Police say the victim confronted Bethea, in the parking lot at which time he allegedly shot him multiple times.

Bethea was booked into the Wake County Detention Center on the outstanding Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon warrant on November 30. He is being held without bond awaiting extradition to El Paso.
