El Paso, TX (KTSM) - El Paso Police arrested three teens in connection to an alleged car burglary and foot chase in the Lower Valley early Thursday morning.
According to police, they were called to the 9000 block of Betel in the Lower Valley just before 5 a.m. Thursday morning. When they arrived, they spotted four people in the parking lot who reportedly ran when they saw the police arrive.
After a brief foot chase, police were able to detain three of the four. They were identified as Alejandro Lopez, 18, and two other teens, ages 15 and 16.
EPPD charged one of the underage teens with burglary of a vehicle, evading arrest, and possession of a controlled substance - meth. The second underage teen was charged with Burglary of a Vehicle and Evading Arrest.
Lopez was charged with two counts of Burglary of a Vehicle and Evading Arrest. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Center on bonds totaling $4,500.
The teens were turned over to the Juvenile Pobation Department for charges to be filed.
