Mesa Inn murder victim identified by police

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - More than two weeks after his murder, El Paso Police have identified George Lewis, 47, as the victim in the murder that happened at the Mesa Inn in late August.

According to investigators, they were called out to the 4100 block of N. Mesa to a suspicious death just after noon on Saturday, August 26.

Initially, police were unable to confirm if Lewis' death was in-fact a murder, but were later able to confirm through the Medical Examiner's Autopsy. Police have yet to say how he was killed.

El Paso Police say that they have not made any arrests in Lewis' murder. If you have any information that would be of assistance to investigators, you're asked to contact EPPD at (915) 832-4400.
