UPDATE: Silver Alert canceled for missing man with Alzheimer's

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - UPDATE:

EPPD says that Dennis Harvey has been located  and is safe.

EARLIER:

El Paso Police are hoping the public can help them locate an elderly man with Alzheimer's disease that walked away from his assisted living home Tuesday afternoon.

Dennis Harvey, 69, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 7600 block of Alpine.

Harvey suffers from Alzheimer's and other medical conditions that police say make him unable to properly and safely care for himself. He has been known to walk away in the past and has been located in the Cielo Vista Mall area and near the area of Gateway and Airway.

He was previously reported missing June 3 after walking away from an adult daycare bus. Harvey is described as 6'3", thin, white hair and green eyes.
