Six cars stolen off Casa Ford lot, suspects in custody

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Police are still looking for two of the five Ford Mustang GTs that were allegedly stolen by five men in late September.

According to investigators, they were called to the Casa Ford dealership in the 5800 block of Montana in Central El Paso on September 28 after five 2017 Ford Mustang GTs and a 2017 Ford Focus RS were stolen off the lot overnight.

Auto Theft Task Force officers investigated the crime and recovered four of the six stolen cars. They secured warrants for the five men, ages 18 to 22, allegedly involved in the thefts. 

Police say the value of the stolen cars is more than $240,000. Two of the stolen Mustang GTs have not yet been found.

The suspects are as follows:

  • Luis Lopez, 22 - Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle - $3,000 bond
  • Michael Owens, 21 - Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (EIOCA) Theft over $150,000 - $150,000 bond
  • Marcos Molina, 20 - EIOCA Theft over $150,000 - $150,000 bond
  • Benjamin Sanchez, 19 - EIOCA Theft over $150,000 - $150,000 bond
  • Roman Chavez, 18 - EIOCA Theft over $150,000 - $150,000 bond
