Teen faces additional charges for allegedly burglarizing apartments


A teenager accused of stealing from a West El Paso apartment last month now faces additional charges.

Blas Gutierrez, 19, is now being charged with two more Burglary of Habitation cases, police announced Wednesday.

According to a news release, investigators recovered property that was taken from two separate apartments located in the Mesa Village Apartments.

Police say the alleged burglaries happened on different days.

Gutierrez is now behind held in the El Paso County Jail with a bond set at $25,000 for each count.



A teenager is now behind bars for allegedly stealing from a West El Paso apartment last month.

According to police, Blas Gutierrez, 19, took electronics from an apartment inside the Mesa Village complex on Nov. 22.

Gutierrez was arrested Friday and booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $25,000 bond.

The El Paso Police Department's Westside Tactical Unit will continue to investigate the case.
