Teenage girl named person of interest in Mesilla murder

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Doña Ana County Sheriff's detectives have identified a teenage girl as a person of interest in the murder investigation of an 18-year-old whose body was found dumped in Mesilla last Thursday

Bryanna Terry, 19, is believed to be the last person to be in contact with 18-year-old Dakota Lunceford before August 3 - the day Lunceford's body was found dumped off of Glass Rd. in Mesilla.

Lunceford was last seen alive in Alamogordo on Friday, July 28. During his last conversation with his mother, who lives out of state, he told her he'd gone to Las Cruces that day.

Detectives learned that Terry was in contact with Lunceford before his death and spoke with her, but she has since become uncooperative with detectives in the case, according to DASO officials.

Terry has not been located by DASO detectives and they believe she may be in the area driving a gray 1986 Ford pickup truck.

Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department, (575) 525-8814 or Las Cruces/Doña Ana County Crime Stoppers, 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
