Two arrested in October murder

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - El Paso Police say a drug deal gone wrong ended in a murder in the Lower Valley.

Daniel Raul Torres, 18, and Victor Alexander Valerio, 20, are charged with the murder of 17-year old Juan Manuel Cervantes.

According to police, back in October, Torres and Valerio worked together to sell Xanax to Cervantes in the 8400 block of Hughes Circle.  During the drug deal, police say Cervantes was shot in the chest. He later died at the hospital.

Torres and Valerio have each been charged with the Capital Murder and booked into the El Paso County Jail without bond.

Police say there have been 19 murders in El Paso in 2017 and all of them have been solved.
