West El Paso motel investigation leads to arrest of three

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - An investigation into a home burglary led to the arrest of three other people who were wanted on unrelated outstanding warrants by EPPD and the US Marshals on Friday morning.

According to police, they were conducting an investigation Friday at the Motel 9 located at 6405 N. Mesa around 9:45 a.m. During their investigation into an unrelated crime, police learned of three people who were also staying at the motel and wanted for outstanding warrants.

Joaquin Tomesky, 28, of Las Cruces was wanted for outstanding warrants of Burglary of Vehicle with two Previous Convictions, a failure to appear warrant for Aggravated Robbery in El Paso County. He was also allegedly in possession of marijuana under 2oz at the time of his arrest.

He had also been arrested just one week earlier in Las Cruces. Tomesky along with Dakota Ocampo, the suspect in the connected burglary investigation, were taken into custody on suspicion of trafficking 8.33 grams of methamphetamine on September 28, according to Doña Ana County Court Records. His bond was set at $18,221.

Alexus Dominguez, 24, was booked on three outstanding Municipal Court traffic warrants. She later posted bond and was released.

During the investigation, law enforcement also arrested 24-year-old Miguel Silva on a probation violation for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading Arrest with Previous Conviction, and Assault Family Violence with Previous Conviction.

All three suspects were booked into the El Paso County Detention Center.
