Woman found not-guilty in 2016 crash that killed 26-year-old man

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - An El Paso jury found a woman accused of Intoxication Manslaughter in the January 2016 death of a 26-year-old man not guilty in court on Friday.

Phylicia Pierson, then 29, was accused of causing a chain-reaction crash on January 8, 2016 near I-10 West near Lomaland.

Police initially said that Pierson was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe which crashed into a Volkswagen Golf driven by 26-year-old Morgan Engman. The initial impact set of a chain reaction crash that involved four cars.

Engman died at the hospital two days later as a result of the crash.

On Friday, a jury found Pierson not guilty for Intoxication Manslaughter.
