El Paso, TX - Former UTEP women's basketball coach Keitha Adams spent 16 years guiding the Miners program, but in 2017, Keitha is now in Wichita Kansas guiding Wichita State. Adams won 284 games at UTEP, but she is now closer to home, and getting to know her players for the Shockers.
"They are coming along, they are working very hard, and when you are a new coach, and have new players, it's new for all of us, and I am trying to learn as fast as I can about my players," said Adams. "I am learning what their strengths are, and weaknesses, and they're having to learn about what our system is, so we're definitely going through a learning curve."
Friday, November 10, Wichita State opens the season at Creighton.
