Boulder, CO - Former Del Valle standout, Steven Montez helped direct one of college football's biggest turnarounds in 2016. The Colorado Buffaloes went from worst to first in the PAC-12 South.
Montez is now looking to take the next step in 2017, as the Buffs' starting quarterback. "Very confident. Nothing is set in stone. We still have a whole fall camp and a whole summer to go, but right now I have a good amount of confidence going into the summer," said Montez.
Colorado wrapped up their final practice of the spring season with their Annual Spring Showcase Game. Montez accounted for 68 total yards and 2 TD.
"Everybody saw it today. I think we are making strides and getting better. I think people should be excited about the new era here in Boulder," said Montez.
The Buffaloes open the season September 1st against Colorado State.
