Las Cruces, NM - The New Mexico State women’s golf team wrapped up the Dale McNamara Invitational on Tuesday. The team completed the three-round tournament with a score of 886 (+46) to finish in second place.
Four Aggies finished in the top-25 on the player leaderboard, led by Camille Orito with a second place showing after totals of 72-72-73—217 (+7). Pun Chanachai posted scores of 71-76-73—220 (+10) to take sole control of sixth place.
Following just behind was Kristen Cline who tied for ninth with rounds of 75-72-75—222 (+12). Vale Macias put up scores of 77-75-78—230 (+20) to take home a tie for 24th.
Dominique Galloway wrapped up the Aggie starters and tied for 33rd after posting totals of 78-81-75—234 (+24). Kennedie Montoya, competing as an individual, put up totals of 80-79-81—240 (+30) which placed the Aggie in 43rd.
Chanachai finished with a team-high three birdies and Orito fired two. Orito also posted 11 holes for par, just behind team-leader Galloway with 12.
After three rounds of competition, host Tulsa finished in first with a two-day total of 881 (+41), followed by the Aggies in second at 886 (+46) and BYU taking home third with a score of 893 (+53).
The Dale McNamara Invitational concluded the regular season for New Mexico State women’s golf and the Aggies now head to Mission Hills, Kan. for the WAC Championships, April 19-21.
