Seven Panthers Sign to College, EPHS Coach Resigns

El Paso, TX - Seven Gadsden High School soccer players signed on to college, five boys and one girl to Trinidad State in Colorado: Marvin Rivas, Julian Riestra, Luis Carranza, Abraham Soto, and Sergio Olvera.  On the girls side, Corina Enriquez signed to Trinidad State.  Also today, Eric Estrada signed to play soccer at Eastern New Mexico.

NC9 learned today that El Paso High School girls soccer coach Cruz Quezada has resigned from his position, saying it was time to hang it up. Quezada also said he felt it was time to move on after the playoff forfeit two months ago, when EPHS had to forfeit their win over Andress after using an ineligble player.  Quezada added he felt bad for the players, siting stress, and it was better to move on.  He will continue to serve as an assistant football coach with the Tigers.
